Don’t Rain On My Parade

It was the moment I had been waiting for all year. The school board was coming to our school to see our musical performance, and I had been chosen to sing “Don’t Rain On My Parade” from the musical “Funny Girl”. I had been practicing for weeks, and I was ready to give it my all.

As I stepped on stage, I felt the nerves set in. This was my chance to show everyone what I was made of, and I didn’t want to mess it up. But as the music started, I took a deep breath and began to sing.

The audience was captivated from the first note. I poured my heart and soul into the performance, belting out the lyrics with all the passion I could muster. The song’s message of perseverance and determination was reflected in my performance, and I could feel the audience’s energy and support.

As I reached the climax of the song, I hit the high note with everything I had. The audience erupted into applause, and I felt a rush of adrenaline like never before. It was a moment I would never forget.

After the performance, I received compliments and congratulations from all around me. The school board members even approached me to tell me how impressed they were with my performance. I felt like I was on top of the world.

Looking back on that moment, I realize how much performing “Don’t Rain On My Parade” meant to me. It was more than just a song or a performance; it was a chance to show everyone what I was capable of. It was a moment to be proud of myself and all the hard work I had put in.

Performing for the school board taught me the importance of taking risks and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. It showed me that with hard work and dedication, I could achieve anything I set my mind to. And most importantly, it reminded me of my love for performing and the joy it brings me.

As I continue on my journey as a performer, I will never forget the thrill of performing “Don’t Rain On My Parade” for the school board. It was a moment that changed my life and reminded me of the power of music and the magic of the theatre.
