My Life

As an 8th grader, my life revolves around school, homework, and the pursuit of my dreams. My dream is to become a Broadway star, and I’ve been working hard to achieve it for years. It’s not easy balancing school and rehearsals, but it’s all worth it in the end.

I first fell in love with the theatre when I was just six years old. My parents took me to see my first Broadway show, and I was hooked. I loved the music, the costumes, the lights, and the energy of the performers. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be a part of the magic.

I started taking dance lessons when I was seven, and by the time I was ten, I was taking voice lessons as well. I joined my school’s drama club and began auditioning for local productions. I even landed a small role in a community theatre production of “Annie” when I was twelve.

But my sights were set higher. I wanted to perform on Broadway, and I knew that meant I had to work even harder. So I began taking acting lessons, attending theatre camps during the summer, and even taking online classes to improve my skills.

Balancing rehearsals and performances with school can be challenging, but I’ve learned to manage my time effectively. I try to get as much homework done during the day as possible so that I can focus on my rehearsals in the evenings. And when I have a show coming up, I make sure to plan ahead so that I’m not stressed about schoolwork.

Of course, there are sacrifices I have to make in order to pursue my dream. I miss out on some social events with my friends, and I have to be willing to put in extra work to keep up with my studies. But for me, the rewards of performing on stage make it all worth it.

I’m now in my final year of middle school, and I’m already thinking about high school and college. I know that the competition for roles on Broadway is tough, and I’ll need all the training and experience I can get to make it. But I’m determined to keep working hard and chasing my dream, no matter what.

Becoming a Broadway star may be a lofty goal, but I believe that with hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck, anything is possible. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me, and I’m excited to share it with anyone who loves the theatre as much as I do.
